Article contributed by Jerry Jackson of Park City, Utah July 1983 Open House to Honor the Harold Jacksons Harold and Marilyn Lower Jackson, R 1, Columbia City, will be honored by their children with an open house on Sunday, July 10. The event will be to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the couple. They were married July 11, 1943. Their children are Kent Jackson of R 1, Columbia City, and Marold Farber, 315 E. Market St., Columbia City. The open house will be at their son's home in Columbia Township. Guests are invited from 2-4 p.m. and the Jacksons ask that gifts be omitted. Mr. Jackson is retired from Dana Corporation, Fort Wayne.

Harold was mentioned as a surviving nephew in the 1985 obituary of his Aunt Bertha Jackson Workman. From source book by Oscar Burton Robbins, pg 324: "Harold won Columbia City High School's highest Honor, the "Honor Blanket" in 1940."
