Facts and Events
Written by his son-in-law: Harold and Catharine lived in Hingham, MA, at 979 Main St. until 1938 and then at 640 Main St. He was a partner at Nutter, McClennen, and Fish in Boston until his death at age 100 in 1995, having his law education at Harvard. After his divorce he married Ruth Lent, a legal assistant, and moved to Lands End in Hingham. He had been rejected by the Army in World War I for flat feet, and graduated from Harvard Law in 1921. He had been Hingham town counsel from 1955 to 1974. Added by granddaughter Kathryn: Note - after further research, it appears that Harold did serve in both the Harvard Brigade, and then the Army in WWI in 1918. He was rejected from the Harvard ROTC for "defective eyes and flat feet". According to "Harvard's Military Record in the World War" Edited by Frederick S. Mead, A.B., and published by the Harvard Alumni Association, Boston, Massachusetts in 1921 on page 251: "Davis, Harold Truscott, A.B. '18, LL.B.
