- Att a Court held for the County of Northumberland the 20th of Novem: 1651
- KNOW ALL MEN by these pr:sents that I MATTHEW RHODON for the consideracon of Twenty shillings of current English money in hand received have sold and delivered & by these presents doe sell & deliver to HANNAH LEE one Cow Calfe about eight months old the collor browns cropt on the right eare a peece taken out above ye yeare and a small peece taken out on the uppside of the left eare; To have & to hold the said Cow Calfe for her mime Property & Chattels both her & her increase and I doe bind my heires &c. to defend &c. said Sale from the claime of any p:son or p'sons whatsoever, And I the aforesaid HANNAH LEE doe by these presents give bequeath & deliver the aforesaid MATTHEW RHODEN for the use of his Daughter, HANNAH RHODEN, the aforesaid Cow Calfe to keepe with all the female increase till ye time as the said HANNAH RHODEN shalbe 16 yeares of age or at the day of marriage; And if the said HANNAH RHODEN dye before she come to the age the said stocke shall desend to the next Childe of MATTHEW RHODON & ELIZABETH his Wife, To the confirmation of the aforesaid premisses we have caused this Bill of Sale to be made betweene our hands this 3th day of Novem: 1651
