Hannah Reed's sister was Evangeline (Molly) McKlevely of LA and her grandparents were Benjamin F. Rose, b. 5/2/1789, d. 1825 & Hannah Dilley, b. 6/20/1787 in Sussex Co. NJ, m. in 1809 and d. 1865. Her brothers were Culbertson F. Reed, b. 1/15/1833 Guernsey Co. OH and he m. Rebecca B. Raney and T. P. Reed, b. 1835. Hannah and George Washington McLuen had at least four children. Frances Marion McLuen lived 70 years, 2 months and 4 days and he married Nora Downing on May 5, 1887 in Guthrie Co. IA. Their second child was Fannie Florence McLuen and she married George Parle, who was b. in Canada. They were married December 20, 1880. She was born in 1863 and died in 1956 and is buried in LA. They also lived earlier in Eau Claire WI and had 3 children, b. 1881, 1883 and 1888. Their third child was Benjamin Franklin McLuen, b. June 25, 1865 in Valley Twp. near Guthrie Center and he married Anna Eliza Lemon on May 5, 1887. He died October 3, 1913 and is buried in Union Cemetery in Guthrie Center Iowa. Their fourth child was Annie McLuen and she was born around 1871 and died in 1885 and is also buried at the Union Cem. The obit in the Guthrie for July 2, 1931 reads as follows: McLuen, Francis Marion b in GC 24 Apr 1861 d here 28 June 1931 age 70y 2m 4d. He was the oldest in a fam of 4 sons & daus of George & Hannah MCLUEN. 5 May 1887 he m Miss Nora DOWNING. 2 children, a dau d in infancy & Carl who d as a young man in 1918 flu epidemic. MRS MC LUEN d when the dau was b. MR MC LUEN is survived by his mother age 90, his sis Mrs Fanny PARLE of Eu Claire WI. Interment in Bear Grove cem. p1 c1 References
