Hannah Porter, the daughter of William Porter was probably born in Middletown, Ct. She probably was the oldest daughter as she is named first in her father's will. We know very little about her, except from deeds of Thomas Porter her brother. In the West Hartland Congregational Church of Hartland there appear a number of Allen family members. One such entry gives Hannah wife of Nathaniel Allen was admitted to communion 17 Feb. 1782 and she died 1 Aug. 1782 Her husband Nathaniel was adm. com. 3 Mar. 1782 and he died 13 June 1784. Very possible that they had children which lived in the same vicinity as Thomas Porter, and his brother John Porter....
