ELECTA D. PORTER, the dau. of William and Ruth was bp 24 March 1771. (1 Cong. Ch. of Hartland). She was named in her father's will made 21 May 1774 but I can find no other reference to her. I believe she was deceased by 1791 when Thomas Porter, her brother, purchased land in Hartland. The deeds named all of his brothers and sisters except Electa.
There is a possibility that Electa was deceased by 7 June 1777 when her brother John died. His estate was divided into six shares. We know Elishama, Thomas, Abigail, Ruth and Rachel all got shares of John's estate, and if her sister Hannah who married Nathaniel Allen did not die until 1 Aug. 1782, she would have inherited the 6th. share.
Thus I believe she must have been deceased by the time her brother, John, died in 1777 or at least by the time of the settlement of his estate and the division of his property.
