"… there is no record of the death of his (Stephen Kelsey's) wife, who survived him at least as late as the year 1714, for we have a deed of William51, dated Dec. 3, 1714, in which he makes reservation in favor of his mother, Hannah, widow of Stephen8, and the deed of James and Hannah47 Kibbe to their brother, William51, dated Dec. 5, 1714, is witnessed by their mother, Hannah Kelsey. Perhaps she lived until much later, as late as the early part of 1732/3, for we find the inventory of a Hannah Kelsey, amounting to £55-12-03, taken by Joseph Talcott, Jr., and Jonathan Olcott on Mar. 19th of that year. Administration was granted to Obadiah Spencer of Hartford."

It seems unlikely that the Hannah who died 1732/33 was this woman. Several sons of Stephen and Hannah (Ingersoll) Kelsey were still living in the area at that time.
