The notes of Emily Elizabeth Thomas Wallis indicate a birth year of 1771. Cornelius Comegys, [C 1311C] gave the year of marriage as 1793 and death as 1795.

The only known reading of her tombstone says birth was 6 Jan 1775 and death was 28 Dec 1791 aged 21 years 11 months 2 days. It is believed the recorded birth year from the tombstone is incorrect. Most sources report her name as Hannah W Comegys or Hannah Wallis Comegys. The middle initial of W can not be confirmed. It may have been added by earlier researchers who assumed her mother was Hannah Wallis, [W 173], daughter of William Wallis and not Hannah --?-- [W 15/S2] widow of both Micheal Bellican and of Hugh Wallis.
