Grisel M’CAUL, born 24mar1766, married 27jun1796 Alexander Warrand, Glasgow (Fasti Ecclesiae Scoticanae). Grissel was christened 1apr1766 at Symington (IGI). In 1785 one partner of the “Greenock” bank was James Dunlop of Garnkirk, son of Provost Colin Dunlop. In 1793 Mr. Dunlop ceased to be an agent of the bank and Alexander Warrand was appointed successor. Alexander was son in law of Rev. Dr. M’Caul of the Tron Church (“Glasgow past and present” by Robert Reid, pub. 1884).
