Gritje Iedema married Derk Flikkema on Jan 22, 1931. They had six children: Hendrick Jan (Henry John) 1931, Jan (John) 1933, Johanna (Joanne) 1935 married to John DeHaan, Dirk (Richard) 1937, Meindert Willem (Maynard William) 1939 and Fenna Grietje (Frances Grace) 1943 married to Robert Sinnema. The familiy emigrated to Manhattan Montana in August of 1947 where they farmed just west of Bozeman in what is known as the Holland Settlement.
