Grace Wilson, 2029 N. Otis Drive, Alameda, CA 94501. copyright 1900. The back cover reads: In assembling this collection of poetry I realize that my biography, except for a few concrete facts, has written itself. Born in San Francisco and growing up across the bay ("San Francisco from Across the Bay") in what was then a country setting ("Legacy from a Country Mother"; Flamboyant Hostess"; "Double Take"), I now live in Alameda. Daily walks along the shoreline serve up a view of San Francisco ("Bayside Dialectic"), reinforcing a lifelong attachment to this part of California ("California", "Voyage Out, Voyage Home"). Even though so many things have changed since those early days of windswept hills and blowing wild flowers ("Condemnation Clause"; "Retrospection; Redevelopment"), the rymes of nature and of change translate themselves into words I trust will provide something of a profile of me. [The titles I have put in quotes, are in italic in the original. The the names of poems in the book] [edit] ==References
