Gladys R. Wildasin, 92, of Hanover, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the Hanover Hall Nursing Center.
Born April 13, 1922 in York County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clitus and Hilda (Krumrine) Meckley. Gladys was the loving wife of the late Sterling E. Wildasin who died May 17, 2001.
Gladys was a member of Calvary Bible Church, Hanover, PA. She was employed by the Littlestown Sewing Factory for several years until her retirement.
Gladys is survived by her sons, James S. Wildasin of Hanover, PA, Jerry L. Wildasin of Glenville, PA, her daughter, Jacqueline M. Howdyshell of Glenville, PA, eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, her brothers, Clitus Meckley of Ft. Myers, FL, Glen Meckley of Glenville, PA, Earl Meckley of Ft. Myers, FL, Elwood Meckley of Utah, her sisters, Helena Miller of Hanover, PA, Charlotte Dubbs of Spring Grove, PA, and Doris Cashman of Bendersville, PA.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Sterling Meckley and her sister, Ruthanna Markel.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA with Pr. Garry Wilt officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the funeral home and from 10-11 a.m., Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover, PA.
Serving as casketbearers will be Rodney Wildasin, Tim Garman, Mark Garman, Thomas Howdyshell, Eric Stark and Nathan Shadle.
