On June 25, 1347, Giles de Throckmorton was appointed, along with Thomas Boteler, Ralph le Botiller, and others, as an inspector of wool in county Worcester. John Fraunceys of Throckmorton, granted to Giles de Throckmorton and his wife Agnes, a tenement in Throckmorton. Giles was known to be living as late as 1348.

Giles had five other half brothers and sisters whose mother was Alice. The manor of Throckmorton itself seems to have passed to Giles for a messuage and two carucates of land in Throckmorton settled in 1341-42 upon Giles and his wife Agnes, and their sons: Robert, John, Thomas and Richard, in tailmale in the 15th year of the reign of Edward III.
