Obituary:

Georgia M. Carriker went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on April 29, 2010 at the home of her daughter. Georgia was born April 10, 1922 in Noxie, Oklahoma to Benjamin and Bessie (Lamdrum) Phillips.

Georgia married Floyd L. Carriker October 17, 1936 and he passed away June 21, 2000. She is survived by her five children, Gregory Carriker, Linda Knisley, Glenda Carriker, Phillip Carriker, all of Coffeyville and Stephen and Joyce Carriker of Dennis,Ks, twenty grandchildren, forty-eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. She was a member of the Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Georgia was a homemaker all her life. She loved fishing and camping, going to garage sales and flea markets with her daughters, but most of all just gathering with her whole family where she always shared her very special strawberry cake for over twenty years. She led a very simple life but left a big impression on everyone who knew and loved her.

Funeral services for Georgia M. Carriker will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 2:00p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas. Interment will follow in Restlawn Cemetery in Coffeyville. Family visitation will take place at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m.
