George Summers, Jr. was born in Germany, and arrived in Philadelphia with his father's family in 1752. He served in the Revolution, either for New Jersey (Sussex County where his father settled) or Pennsylvania. He married Anna Mesminger in 1773 and they had only one son, John, who died when he was 16 years old. George Summers died in 1825 in Warrington, PA, and the left a will where Jacob Cassel of Montgomery county and his good friend Jacob Sommer of Philadelphia were executors.
