SCHENK, George August, age 72, of 1216 Toledo Street, passed away at home on Friday, August 17, (1962). Mr. Schenk had resided in this community for the past seventy years; was a retired employe of the Gorge Dam, and a member of Culinary and Beverage Workers Union, Local No. 529. Survivors are the widow, Ethelyn G., at home; two sons, Howard G., City; Alvin L., San Jose, California; four daughters, Mrs. Ada E. Bryant, Kent; Mrs. Margaret E. Meredith, Seattle; Mrs. Marion Kraft, Seattle; Mrs. Gertrude Lunde, Everson; seventeen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and one brother, Robert Schenk of Bellingham. The remains rest at the Jones Funeral Home where services are pending.
