Ferndale Township is the traditional name given to the Washington land survey township T 39 N, R 2 E, located in Whatcom County.

The City of Ferndale is not considered part of Ferndale Township.

The modern roads which delimit T 39 N, R 2 E are as follows:

• On the north, Harksell Road and its extension eastward.
• On the west, Delta Line Road and Church Road and their north-south extensions.
• On the south, the east-west portions of Smith Road and their east-west extension.
• On the east, Guide Meridian Road.
