Facts and Events
“George Morrow 11 is the only person for whom the present researchers have found proof of being a son of Hugh Morrow who fought in the American Revolution.”[1] As a young man, George lived in Kentucky; his father is found in Logan County in 1810 and 1820, and George married in Christian County in 1818. By 1830, all had moved to Jefferson County, Alabama. On the record of the Minutes of the Orphans Court, 1832-1837 on page 337 of Jefferson County, Alabama George was made the sole guardian of five minor children of his and his first wife Sarah (now deceased). Remarried 1836 to Eleanor Nickson. They were living in Pontotoc Co, MS by August 1843.[5]
