Private George T. Jackson, enlisted as a substitute at age 18 on Feb. 28, 1865, for 1 yr.; in Company B, 97th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. He was absent sick at the time of Muster out, August 28, 1865.

   George is Listed on the 1959 Transcript of the New Milford Cemetery, Susquehanna Co., PA. But there is a gravemarker for him at Spring Forest Cemetery, Binghamton, Broome Co., New York. It is unknown if his body was moved or just a gravestone placed in his memory at the second cemetery. Birth and Death info is the same on both records.
