Obituary[9] 2 Mar 1961 LIVERMORE FALLS -- George W. Hinkley, 76, died Wednesday at his winter home in Daytona Beach, Fla.
He was born August 17, 1884 in Phillips, the son of Leroy and Edith Harnden Hinkley. He received his education in Phillips schools and on Feb. 18, 1905, he married N. Everdine Wing of Phillips. She died on Feb. 6, 1961.
They moved to Livermore Falls in 1906 where they resided in a brick house built by Mr. Hinckley on Hinckley Hill. In 1944 they left this town for a tour of the 50 states, returning to spend the summers in Jay and the winters in Daytona Beach.
Mr. Hinckley was employed as a brick, tile and stone mason in many parts of the United States. He was a lifetime member of the Brick and Stone Masons Union of Rumford and attended the Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Scott, of Jay, and a daughter, Mrs. Violet Buck, Livermore Falls, five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
