JAY -- Mrs. K Everdene Hinkley, 71, died Monday morning at her winter home at Daytona Beach, Fla.
She was born April 16, 1889, Madrid, daughter of Harvey and Jennie Davenport Wing. On Feb. 18, 1905, she was married to George W. Hinkley. They traveled extensively, having visited 46 States. In 1906, they moved to Livermore Falls, where they lived until 1944 at which time they came here to spend summers. Winters were passed at Daytona Beach. She was former member of Norland Grange and the State grange.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Alton Buck, Livermore Falls; a son, Scott W., Jay, a brother, Clifford Wing, Hartford, Conn.; five grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

At Daytona Beach Fla, Monday, Feb. 6, Mrs. Everdene Hinkley, aged 71, wife of George Hinkley of Jay, Me. Funeral services to be held from the O'Donnell Funeral Home, Livermore Falls, Friday Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. Rev. Lester Tuffs of the Jay Baptist church will officiate. Visiting hours at the funeral home Thursday, Feb 9, form 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, from 10 to 11 a.m. Entombment Treaf Memorial tomb, Livermore Falls. |
