George's obituary reads, "NEW HAVEN. GEORGE E. GERARDOT, 87, of New Haven, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2006, at Harborside Healthcare. He was a lifelong New Haven resident and was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church-Besancon, New Haven. He was an avid New York Yankee fan and his many interests included golfing, bowling and poker. He retired from Guardian Industries, in 1986. He also worked 17 years as a bartender for Rack & Helen's of Woodburn and Larry and El's. He is survived by his sisters, Dolores Lomont and Eileen Renier, both of New Haven, Sr. Rita Clare, SP, St. Mary-of-the-Woods and Jackie Roehling of Fort Wayne; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Manfred and Wilbur Gerardot; and sisters, Mary Ottenweller, Juanita Anderson and Monica Gerardot. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Louis Catholic Church-Besancon, 15535 Lincoln Hwy. E, New Haven. Prayer service is 9:15 a.m. Thursday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 Indiana Hwy. 930 E., New Haven. Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Burial in the church cemetery.
