According to old family records (1887 Jackson Ledger) Mary "Polly" Jackson and her husband George Bush lived on the waters of Freeman's Creek, above the Jackson Mill. This was in Harrison County, VA (now West Virginia). They went West starting to Miami Valley, Ohio.
George Bush and his wife Mary were located in the 1850 Warren Co, Ohio Census. Both Mary's brother William and her sister Lucinda had established their families there.

George and Mary are living next household to her sister, Lucinda Fletcher (sic: Flesher) and Lucinda's son, Elias Fletcher/Flesher and family.
George's wife, Mary died in 1853 and by 1860 George had remarried. The 1860 Salem Township, Warren County census shows George Bush with his second family. His wife Sarah Lawson (a widow) age 43, and her children: Mary Ann, F, 26, Courtland, M, 14, Susan, F, 18, and Peter, M, 7. Sarah and all of her children were born in Ohio.
George's birth year is uncertain as both the 1850 and 1860 have his age as 60 years.

Jacob Bush was born in Hampshire County, Virginia, 1756. In the fall of 1782 he married Margaret Swann, on the South Branch, where they lived until the fall of 1785, then moved with their two oldest children, Peter and "Susan", to now Lewis County, West Virginia. Jacob Bush did not live to reap any benefits from the pension due him; but died Nov. 28, 1832.
The law required that the widow, be entitled to a pension, should have been married to the soldier prior to 1794. Mrs. Bush proved her marriage and was granted eighty dollars a year to commence March 4, 1831. Margaret Bush died July 28, 1847, at the age of ninety or ninety-one years. Her surviving children who drew the money due their mother were Peter, born 1783, Henry, Jacob, John, GEORGE; Elizabeth married Stump; Margaret married Stump; Barbary married Fisher; Susannah married Simpson. Before her death another son, Michael Bush, died, leaving a widow and two children, Mary and Adam Bush.
