    According to Margaret Swan Bush's 20 MAY 1845 affidavit, included in her deceased husband's pension file, she married Jacob Bush in 1782, in Augusta County VA. However, in her application for a widow's pension, dated 29 MAR 1843, she declared that she was married in the Fall of 1779. This file also shows that Margaret died on Horn Creek, in Gilmer County WV, on 28 JUL 1847. The following children survived her: Henry, Peter, Jacob, John, George, Elizabeth Stump, Margaret Stump, Barbary Fisher, and Susannah Simpson. Another son, Michael, pre-deceased her, leaving his widow Mary and a son Adam.
