- George Beare, born c 1808 -1809 in Yeovil, as oppposed to George Beare, born c 1808 - 1809, South Cadbury.
These two George's are very close in age, both live in Yeovil by the time Censuses start, who are their parents? David Beare has plumped for George Beare of South Cadbury being son of James and Johanna Beare and George Beare of Yeovil being son of Benjamin Beare and Maria Budgel.
Reasoning , James and Johanna married 11 Sep 1808 in South Cadbury, where Johanna was born. So George either born before or shortly after the wedding, baptised in Yeovil 18 Nov 1808. There was another George Beer/Beare baptised in Yeovil 20 Jul 1806, son of Lawrence and Elizabeth Beer, nee Harris.
2/1/4 Yeovil St John P-E Bapt:20-7-1806 George s/o Lawrence & Elizabeth Beer
Why would George be baptised in Barwick if the family had moved to Yeovil and he was born there? Family back home, perhaps? But further children baptised Barwick and East Coker. I think that Lawrence and Elizabeth could be George's parents, but the age is a bit out.
Looking at the death registrations for the 2 George's does not really clarify things.

Thus born c 1807-1809! Which one of these fits baptisms 20 Jul 1806, 22 Oct 1808 and 18 Nov 1808? Guesswork entirely, but South Cadbury George probably James and Johanna's due to Johanna's birth and marriage place. Also, George of Yeovil lives closer/next door to a Lawrence Beare in some censuses, Lawrence also son of Benjamin and Maria Beare, again christened in Barwick but born Yeovil. George of S Cadbury living next door to another son of James and Johanna in 1861. Thus, are they living next door to brothers in both cases, or next door to cousins first time removed? There is no evidence of a 3rd George Beer/Beare in Census records, that I have found!
