Research Notes
- per family tradition, he came to KY with Daniel Boone about 1775 from Rowan Co., North Carolina. This does NOT match his 1821 deposition. Proof needed to support this tradition.
- supposedly, early KY records show a Garrett Townsend lived at Station Camp Creek in Madison County, which later became part of Estill County. Proof needed.
