Last Will of James Townsend page 27 Clark County, Kentucky
In the name of God, Amen, I, James Townsin of Clarke County Colony of Cainetucky, being sick but in perfect mind and memory and calling to mind the mortallity of my body and knowing that it is oppointed for man once to die and after death to judgment, do make this my last will and testament in the manner and form following and first it is my desire that all my just debts be first paid and then it is my desire togive the best of my estate to my beloved wife during her natural life and then to be left to my child, Rhoda Townsin and her heirs forever.
I give to my son Garrett Townsin five hundred acres of land located on orter in Matterson County to him and his heirs forever and I do appoint my beloved wife and Markham Ware my only and sole executors of this my last will and testament as witness my hand and leave this sixth day of December, one Thousand Sevin Hundred Nineyfour.
