   Fred S. Laughner, 80, of Marisville, Emlenton RD 1, died at 10 AM Tuesday in his home following an extended illness. Born September 7, 1878, in his present residence, he was the son of Michael O. and Anna French Laughner. He was married to the former Maude B. Ritchey of Schenley, PA., July 6, 1904, who survives. Mr. Laughner was a life long member of the Evangelical and Reformed Church in Lamartine and served in all phases of the church work. He was also a member of the Allegheny Valley Lodge 552 F. and AM in Emlenton, and the Lodge of Perfection in Oil City. He owned and operated a general store in Marisville for many years and as later affiliated with D.M. Long Hardware in Emlenton and J.H. Sheffer Motor Company and Slesnick Auto Parts in Knox. Surviving besides his widow are three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Marian) Hays of Bethel Park, Mrs. Warren (Helen) Ritts and Mrs. Walter (Eleanor) Hays of Emlenton RD 1; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild. The body was removed to the William N. Rupert Funeral Home in Emlenton and returned to the family residence in Marisville where friends may call after noon today. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday in the family residence with Rev. J.J. Gilbert, pastor of the Emlenton Evangelical and Reformed Church. Interment will be made in the Evangelical and Reformed Church Cemetery in Lamartine.
