Frederick Glunz followed in his father's footsteps and became a painter. He joined with his father to form C. Glunz & Son. The business was operated out of their homes which were next to each other and the large barn behind the homes was used for storage of painting equipment, paint and the company truck. Casper Glunz's home was a single story wood frame house while the home Frederick lived in was a two story "flat". He lived in the upper flat and the bottom one was rented.

Frederick married Pauline Grawitz and they had three children, Ray, Grace and Doris. Ray's name was originally spelled Rae, his grandmother's maiden name. It was later changed to Ray.
The children usually spent the entire summer at their grandparents' cottage at Caesarea, Ontario, Canada. During World War II, Frederick went to work for Curtis-Wright Aircraft in Buffalo, making airplanes for the war. This also enabled him to enroll for Social Security and later receive pension payments. After the war, he returned to painting and decorating by himself rather than the large company he and his father had once owned and operated. The painting and wall papering was now mostly residential.
Prior to his death in 1955, Frederick spent a brief period bed-ridden and was attended by his wife, Pauline in their home. After Frederick's death, Pauline sold their home and lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Donald and Grace Molloy. Pauline died in 1970 at the age of 93. Frederick and Pauline are buried at Acacia Cemetary outside of Buffalo.
