Often known as Frank. 1914-19 - Recorded in Australian Electoral Roll as Francis William POYNTON, St Helens, Tasmania, labourer [with wife]. 1922 - Recorded in Australian Electoral Roll as Francis William POYNTON, Deloraine, Tasmania, labourer [with wife]. 1928 - Recorded in Australian Electoral Roll as Francis William POYNTON, Blackwood Hills, Lemana, Tasmania, labourer. 1933-39 - According to his death certificate, Francis came to Victoria in about 1933. He also had a second relationship from which 3 daughters were produced. His eldest daughter did not know of her half-sisters until she was in her 80s, when one of them came and introduced herself. There was no mention of them or his wife/partner on Francis' death certificate. 1939 - Francis died from burns and suffocation received during the bushfires of 1939 at Fumina North. Two inquests were held, one on 15 January 1939 and the other on 29 March 1939 at Warragul, Victoria. |
