Frances Elizabeth Jaynes was the oldest daughter. She married Dr. J. F. Ray in 1858. He died in 1862 and she married Wm. Moses Ewing, whose first wife, Martha Ann Ray was a sister of Dr. J.F. Ray. After he died in May, 1899, she moved to Okalahoma where she lived with her daughter, Mrs. Goen until 1904 when she moved to Portales, NM to live with her youngest daughter, Mrs. Honea. She died there. Whe was a large framed woman and had either a coarse, rasping voice or a sween smooth one depending on her mood.
