Address: Forrest Ray Forrest was 10 months old when the Ray children were placed inthe Junior Order Children’s Home in Tiffin, OH. Sixteen yearslater he joined his mom and siblings in WV. At 17 he entered theU. S. Army Air Corps and retired from the U. S. Air Force 21years later at age 38; his career as an AF tuba and string bassplayer provided a background for a later career as a public andprivate school band director. His first marriage was to RettaLaverne Bowen of Huntington, WV; their four children are Roxanna(Roxy) Marie Ray Parrish, Robert Dee Ray, Rose Jeannette Ray,and Rebecca (Becky) Lillie Ray Turner. In 1965 Forrest marriedVirginia Kathryn Kiser of Cocoa, FL; their three children areWayne David (Sting) Ray, Laura Louise Ray Blanchard, and WilliamForrest Ray. The senior Rays make their home in Sumter, SC. Roxyand husband Ron’s (Hinesville, GA) three children are BenjaminLucas, Elizabeth Rosalie, and Geoffrey Aaron; Ben’s son is Ryan.Rob is Chief of Staff for Department of Defense Schools in DC;his daughter Heather Jeannetta and her husband Joshua Bargerhave one son—Alec. His daughter Melodee Danielle lives and worksin Hinesville, GA. Becky and husband Bob are raising her twochildren—James Forrest and Kristene Audie Lee—in Fairbanks, AK.Rose makes her home in San Antonio, TX. Sting works forFreightliner of Charlotte; his sons Justin Carey and JoshuaDavid live with their mother in Belding, MI. Laura and herhusband Rick are raising Kathryn Louise and Richard Stockton IIIin Charleston where Rick and Laura teach middle school. Bill, anAF Captain (in May) and his wife Susan are stationed at BealeAFB in CA where Bill is a U-2 maintenance officer. |
