Per Carolyn Davison: Foister lived his early life in Clay Co. KY. His first marriage to Vicie ended while Foister was working in Detroit MI where she died.

He lived near Salem in Washington Co IN on a farm for several years. He also live din Brownstown, IN before moving to Kissimmee, FL. After living in Florida for several years, he moved back to Jackson Co. IN again - this time to Seymour. THis is where he died.

He retired from Morgan Canning Factory - he worked the majority of his time with Morgan's at the Brownstown plant which no longer exists. Morgan's was ultimatley sold to Red Gold and also no longer exists.

When Foister moved to Florida, he went to work for an orange juice factory. He worked there until an accident in the workplace caused him to terminate his employment. Not long after he no longer work, he and his wife Addie returned to Seymour, bought a home and lived there until Foister died in 1976.


Medical: Foister had several problems with his kidneys over his lifetime. At one point Carolyn remembers he could only drink distilled water because of mineral deposits in the water supply. He had a unique kidney stone problem.

Foister died of a massive hear attack at his home in Seymour. He had been dead for 2 days when he was found. His wife ha been on a trip visiting her daughter in Speedway, IN.
