FLORENCE CRUMRINE SHANEMAN, 78, Lima, died at 7:30 a.m. Dec. 20, 2002, at her residence.
She was born June 11, 1924, in Hardin County, to Neville and Celia Dillinger Sutherland. In 1943, she married Jack M. Crumrine, who died in 1989. In 1992, she married Victor C. Shaneman, and he survives.
Mrs. Shaneman was an elementary teacher in the Wapakoneta schools and retired from Bath schools. She was a member of Shawnee United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, where she served as president on the Cheer Circle. She was a member and guide with Stonecraft Inc., Friendship Bible Coffees. She was a life member of the Ohio Education Association, the Ohio Retired Teachers Association and served as a precinct official. She was a graduate of Alger High School and Ohio Northern University.
Survivors also include two sons, Dennis L. (Carolyn) Crumrine and Michael J. (Barbara) Crumrine, both of Lima; a stepson, Stephen C. (Sue) Shaneman of Laguana Hills, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Viki (Thomas) Shaneman Loughary of Arenzville, Ill.; two brothers, Sam Sutherland of Waynesfield and George Sutherland of Lima; a sister, Mary Helen Leedy of Tampa, Fla.; five grandchildren, Shawn Crumrine, Troy Crumrine, Brian Crumrine, Jodi Crumrine Arnold and Melissa Crumrine Vandemark; four step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was proceded in death by a son, David Crumrine; and a brother Marion Sutherland.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Shawnee United Chruch. The Rev. Joseph Bishman will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
