1860 census; 1953 K.gen.bk.: Sue Kinnick Lyons, m Jean Lyons; no ch. Fanny S. on marr cert LIving in Utica, KS, in 1923, per Jacob estate. Birth estimate from marriage application Witnesses to marriage, Jacob Weiss, Maggie Weise. Listed in 1920 census, Ness Co, William E, age 68 and Fanny, age 68, including hired help, Claud Burkhead, age 17 (b. KS). Mazie (Fletcher) Ross comment, rec'd from Violet Lowe, 8-23-96: Of course, I remember Aunt Sue. She married Jean Lyon. They lived in Kansas. That is where the Fletchers got the Kansas land. 23 May 1997, visited Ness Co, located extensive land records, Probate records, burial site of William Eugene and Susan Fanny (Kinnick) Lyon, as well as that they had a seven year old son, who died in 1894, Harry. Susan death date stated in book, Requim, Ness Co Historical Museum, even tho stone says 1851-1925. Birth date, 1 Nov 1851. Obit in Ness County News (located 13 Aug 1997): Mr. and Mrs. Lyon came to Greenwood county in the spring of 1880, coming to Ness county in the spring of 1884, where they have resided ever since.
