    Info. from Findagrave member, Cherie Officer and the Portville (NY) Star, Thursday, August 17, 1967 Page One. Fanny passed away at the home of her daughter, Ruth (Mrs. Dana Scutt) in Cuba, NY at age 96. Fanny was the daughter of Frank and Ruth (Wheeler) Bell. Frank was from Ceres, PA and was a Captain of Company I, in the Famous Pennsylvania Bucktail Regiment of McKean County, PA in the Civil War. She graduated from Portville High School in 1883. On June 21, 1893 she married Smith Parrish, who predeceased her in 1943. Fanny was a member of the Portville Methodist Church, the WCTU, the WSCS and the Gleaners Class. At the time of her death she was survived by one daughter, Ruth Scutt; Three sons, Robert B., David W. and Earl T. Parish, all of Portville; Six grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren. The funeral was held on August 7, 1967.
