    ... EVERETT HAMILTON, the youngest of the Cyrus Hamilton family, was born in Fugit Township October 16, 1841. Being the youngest, he received better opportunities for early education than his elder brothers. Besides the public schools of his neighborhood, he attended school at Hartsville, Ind, and later at Butler University, Indianapolis. He received eighty acres of land from his father as a beginning. This has been increased by purchase and exchange until he now owns a fine farm of 250 acres. His business is general farming, and he is esteemed to be one of the most thrifty and reliable men of Fugit Township.

    He was married to Miss Mary J., daughter of Preston E. Hopkins, of Fugit, on the 10th of November, 1870. Their children are:
    - Paul, born October 5, 1871.
    - Edwin S., born August 23, 1873.

    Mr. Hamilton was chosen Trustee of Fugit Township in April, 1878; re-elected in 1880, and which office beholds at present Himself and family are members of the Kingston Presbyterian Church, and are thoroughly identified with all movements for the improvement and elevation of society.
