He was at Grande-Anse, Ile Saint-Jean from 1750 to 1755, and at Port-Lajoie in 1758. He was a ploughman, married 1st on 9 Jan 1747 at St. Charles-des-Mines, Acadie to Francoise GRANGER, daughter of Joseph & Anne RICHARD; seven children listed. In 1752 Etienne with wife and three children were residents of Grande-Anse on Isle St. Jean. On 28 May 1766 with wife amd six children he arrived at St. Malo from Boulogne on the brigantine "Le Hazard." They lived at St. Servan 1766 to 1770; at Pleudihen 1771-1772. His 1st wife died 1778.
