Note from John Robert Lowrey: Ether owned and operated a drug store on the corner of Pearl and Canton streets in Dallas, Texas for most of his life. He was known by many people along the route he traveled each morning and night when he was going to and from his home to the drug store because he was riding on a Harley Davidson motorcycle with a side car. It was of 1920 vintage and he rode it until he retired in the late 1950's. He went to work early in the morning and kept the drug store ope n until about 10 PM, seven days a week. He enjoyed children and was never able to have any of his own so he and his wife adopted Leona Pearl when she was just a baby. John Robert Lowrey
