Hazel Gillam Faulkner's handwritten paper: "Papa always said he was Scotch-Irish. I am not sure of his mother's name but I know he was related to the Stuarts that reigned in England. I often heard him say that he was going to England to get money that was over there for us. Money that was coming to the descendents of the Stuarts."

Eston Gillam, the son of Sollomon M. and Sarah J. Gillam and Eura Beard were married at Coesse on Feb 25, 1892 by Rev. C. M. Hollopeter, Pastor ESTON GILLAM HAD HIS ARM BROKEN Esrom (ESTON) Gillam of Jefferson twp. had his right arm broken just above the wrist monday afternoon about 4 oclock. only the radius, or large bone of the arm, was fractured. he was in the act of putting rosin on a belt to keep it from slipping which runs from his gasoline engine to a pump, and in some way he got his hand caught in the belt. Almost instantly, he was caught fast and the hand was tightly held against the flywheel by the belt and he could not get loose. His body was twisted with his back to the engine, so that he could not shut it down, nor could he get loose. He called to his wife who rused to his assistance and shut off the gasoline and the engine stopped. Dr. D.S. Linvill was called and found the injuries as stated above. In addition to that, Mr. Gillam had a bad cut above his right temple. (Prob. Dec 1915)
