[Note: Esther's death record gives her age as 27 which would put her birth about 1700, which seems generally appropriate given the age of her husband and the time of her marriage. So suggesting she is the d/o Stephen Pierce b. 1711 (Chelmsford VRs), and only 16 at the time of her death seems highly unlikely. The same unlikely information is given in Source:Vinton, John Adams. Richardson Memorial, p. 75, and Source:Pierce, Frederic Beech. Pierce Genealogy, Being the Record of the Posterity of Thomas Pierce, p. 38, but no evidence is given in either of these sources to justify this. Since a John Richardson m. 1733 Esther Pierce of Chelmsford, it is suspected that the birth and parentage of Esther given in these sources is wrong. In fact, there is no marriage record, so it is not even clear that her maiden name is Pierce! But no worries, Barbara Bush still has other connections to the Pierce family.]
