    [Note: Vinton, like Pierce and others, identifies Nathan's first wife as Esther Pierce, even though that means she would have been 14 at the birth of their first son. Clearly this is an error, and Vinton was better off in the Vinton Memorial, when he listed the first wife as Esther ---.]
