Obituary from Kinsley Mercury dated December 9, 1993.

                                                 ESTER T. STINSON

Ester Leola Stinson was born Jan. 24, 1908 at Kinsley, the daughter of Elmer Trotter and Nora Dugger Trotter. She departed this life on Nov. 29, 1993, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. And a dear and true friend to many.
A lifetime Kinsley resident, she graduated from Kinsley High School in 1925. She went on to obtain a teacher's certification from Dort Hays State College. She taught in a county school at Nettleton, District 3 and also taught second grade at Lincoln School for 14 years. She taught as a substitute in the Kinsley School system until 1968.
She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, an international reacher's organization. She became a member of the Christian Church on Oct. 25, 1920. She sang in the choir, served as the church historian and taught the high school level Sunday school class for many years.
On June 16, 1940, she married Earl C. Stinson at Kinsley. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in June 1990 with a reception for family and friends at the Christian Church Fellowship Hall.
She enjoyed traveling, especially in the Colorado Rockies. And as long as her health permitted, she and her husband continued to travel as often as possible.
Survivors include her husband, Earl Stinson; a son Kenneth Stinson, Boulder, Colo.; a daughter, Shirley Ayers, Woodland Park, Colo.; three sisters, Marie Bradford, Kinsley, Leoma Smith, Phoenix, Ariz., and Edna Geraghty, Sun Lakes, Ariz.; and three grandchildren, Troy Weiss, Cimarron, Matthew Schrader and Luke Stinson, Boulder, Colo.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Elmer and Nora Dugger Trotter, a sister Lavina Trotter; and a grandson, Jeffrey Weiss.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
