Bugs' obituary reads, "ELMER J. "BUGS" OBERLEY, 73, died Monday at home. Born in Zulu, he was a welder at International Harvester, retiring in 1982 after 38 years. He had been a clerk at H & H Deli in Monroeville for the past six years. He was a Korean War Army veteran. Surviving are his wife, Monica; three daughters, Denise Oberley and Healther McCulloch, both of Fort Wayne and Michelle Reeves of Monroeville; eight sons, Mark Oberley, Matthew Oberley, Kenneth Oberley, Theodore Oberley, Kenneth Oberley, Theodore Oberley, Stuart Oberley, Phillip Oberley and Timothy Oberley, all of Fort Wayne and Chad Reeves of Monroeville; a brother, Harold of Monroeville; four sisters, Maybelle Feasby of Columbia City and Jeanette Castle, Mary Ann Walker and Carol Rose Mills, all of Fort Wayne; 26 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A son, Michael Oberley, died in May. Services at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Monroeville, with calling one hour before services. Calling also from 6 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville. Burial in Monroeville Memorial Cemetery, with military graveside services by Monroeville American Legion Post 420 and VFW Post 10205. Memorials to the church or Allen County Cancer Society.
