Mrs. O. J. Larson is Buried Here

Mrs. Ellen Marie Larson, widow of the late Ole Larson, passed away July 7th at the age of 71 years, two days at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Omer Paulson in Austin, Minn.

Mrs. Larson was born July 4th, 1863, at Mabel, Minn., and was a child of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Iverson. She was baptised and confirmed in the Newburg Lutheran church.

She was married to Ole Larson Dec. 8th, 1897, and they lived at Mabel, where her husband was in business, until 1920, when they moved to Austin, Minn., and lived there until 1923, when they again took up their residence in Mabel. They lived in their home until Mr. Larson's death in 1933.

Last October Mrs. Larson went to Austin to make her home with her daughter. About four months ago she began to decline in health and death came last Saturday.

The deceased leaves to mourn her loss: one daughter, Beatrice, Mrs. Omer Paulson of Austin; two sons, Melvin of Mabel and Russell of Milwaukee. One son, Grant, passed away last spring and another child, Clarence, died in infancy.

Besides her children she leaves one grandchild, and five brothers: Edwin Iverson of Mabel, Andrew Iverson, Daniel Iverson of Spring Grove, Sievert Iverson of Austin, and Chris Iverson of Mabel. Borre Iverson, another brother, preceded Mrs. Larson in death by only a few days. He lived at Peterson, Minn.

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon, July 9th, at the First Lutheran church with Rev. Ivar Havneros preaching the funeral sermon. Burial was made at Mabel. -Mabel Record, 7/13/1934
