"William (Blinn) … m. at Boston 22 Aug. 1722 (BRC 28:104) Elizabeth Stillman, … daughter of George1 and Rebecca (Smith) Stillman. She evidently m. (2), int. at Boston 14 Dec. 1738, Samuel Alley (BRC 28:230) or Allen; when she approved the inventory of William Blinn on 2 March 1743 her name was recorded as Elizabeth Allen. In 1728 George Stillman left legacies of £300 to each of his five daughters, including Elizabeth Blynn. To his grandson William, 'son to daughter Elizabeth Blynn,' he gave land in Middletown (Manwaring, 2:581). … He died intestate and administration on his estate was given to his widow Elizabeth Blin of Boston 16 Aug. 1738, who approved the inventory 2 March 1743 as Elizabeth Allen (Suffolk Co. Probate, 34:52; 37:56, File 7195). The accounting noted items for support of herself and 'six children, the youngest but three years old at the deceased's death' (ibid., 37:92). The statement is confusing; did Nathaniel d. in infancy, and if so, was there another unrecorded older child?"
