1829 - Baptism: Elizabeth, d. of William & Susanna SARE, South Lopham.

1841 - Living with mother in The Street, South Lopham. Aged 11.

1851 - Working as a cook in the household of Francis CUPISS and family (chemist, druggist) in Mere Street, Diss, Norfolk.

1861 - In service as a cook in the household of Charles WARD, perpetual curate of St Nicholas, Ipswich, living at 163 Woodbridge Road, Ipswich (in parish of St Margaret). Single, aged 32, born at South Lopham, Norfolk.

1871 - With husband and two sons, living on the great Common, North Lopham. Aged 41, born at South Lopham.

1881 - With husband, two sons, and her brother on Great Common, North Lopham.

1891 - Living at Poplars, Great Common, North Lopham with her husband and unmarried son, Edward (John). Aged 62, born at South Lopham.

1901 - Living at Gariboldsham Road, North Lopham with husband and son. Aged 72.

1904 - Died, aged 75 years. Memorial inscription: In ever loving memory of Elizabeth the dearly beloved wife of Robert BOWELL who died July 6th 1904 aged 75 years. A loving wife true and kind, She proved to be in heart and mind, A loving mother too as well, When she on earth did with us dwell. Sandstone incised lettering, pointed arch stone with a carved border all roung of a leaf pattern. Survey notes a small sandstone stone behind of similar shape, incised lettering (unrecorded/unreadable). E B 1904.

1905 - Probate entry for Elizabeth gives her as wife of Robert BOWELL. Probate was granted at Norwich to her sons, Frederick William Thomas Sare BOWELL and Edward Robert John BOWELL, both farmers.
