Elizabeth Royall was Elizabeth Archer in her father’s 1747/8 will. Though she has been said to be the wife of both Field Archer and John Archer it seems more likely her husband was Col. William Archer who had a wife, Elizabeth, and had sons Joseph and Richard (named after Joseph Royall and Richard Royall) and granddaughters Elizabeth Royall Cocke and Elizabeth Royall Archer and grandson Joseph Royall Archer.
She was named in the will of her father, Joseph Royall, written 26 February 1748.
