RESEARCH NOTES

Some Ancestry trees, My Heritage trees and even Geneanet trees would have you believe that she married an Edward Thomas, this is incorrect, there is no doubt that she actually married William Salkeld. The Palmer and Salkeld families had a reunion some 20 years ago, there were no descendants of Edward Thomas there.

William had no children with Elizabeth.

Find My Past Marriage record image and Find My Past Devon Marriages Transcription (Subscription required to view this image or transcription) A submission has been made for the correction of the transcription error in the name which has been entered as Salmeld.

I have been unable to find the exact location and death of Elizabeth Salkeld nee Palmer, there are several Elizabeth Salkelds in England that died about this time.
