Ellicottville - Mrs Elizabeth Shaw, 85, of Rural Route 1, died Monday (May 12, 1975) at Chaffee Hospital, Springville, where she had been a patient for 9 days. She was born in Niagara Falls, the daughter of the late Alfred and Annie Nickerson. She lived here for two years and prior to that in Niagara Falls. She was a member of the Niagara Falls Golden Agers and the VFW Post 97 in Niagara Falls. Mrs Shaw is survived by her husband, Nelson Shaw; two sons, John Calkins of Lewiston and Raymond Calkins of North Tonawanda; five sisters, Mrs Florence Sattleburg of Niagara Falls, Mrs Grace Butler of Lewiston, Mrs Beatrice Jorgenson of Youngstown, Mrs Clyde (Bertha) Ferguson of Lockport and Mrs Harold (Cornelia) Butler of Buffalo; a brother, Thomas Nickerson of Niagara Falls; and four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Thursday at the Hardison Funeral Home, Lewiston, the Rev. Charles Stratton will officiate. Burial will be at the North Ridge Cemetery…. References
